What a great way to spend a Sunday. StopPlastics used this opportunity to talk to Torontonians about the plastic pollution crisis. We brought along a newly constructed mascot “Pauline”, a wire and reed turtle meant to remind people of the terrible cost wildlife is paying because of disposable plastics. And once again the public told us how desperately it wants strong legislation to limit plastic. That’s always inspiring!
Wouldn’t it be nice if all our elected officials (we spotted one councillor at the Fair—Dianne Saxe) had the ethics of EcoFair attendees and participants? Thanks to all who attended the StopPlastics display and signed a postcard or signed up to volunteer.
And many, many thanks to the EcoFair volunteers and organizers. The Fair was awesome. Just wish there was more time. I hope everyone had fun and enjoyed the displays and the vegan eats. Extra special thanks to Michael (@michaelkohnphoto) for taking the great photos.
